In John 10:10, Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

We were created for a Life that is full. But we often settle for a life that feels empty and broken: we try to put more and more in, but the result is a life that is draining.

The full Life that we were created for is only found in Jesus. As we learn to live out of His love for us, we experience a surprising freedom and a hope that somehow puts us back together on the inside.

Because of His love for us, we can love and serve each other, discovering together what full Life really looks like every day.

Living. Loving. Serving.That’s Friends Church.

What type of church is Friends Church?

We are an evangelical church with ties to the historic Friends' movement. We strive, in short, to be a New Testament church.  At our core we are community of people seeking to follow the teachings of Jesus and the Bible.  If you'd like more information about our beliefs, visit here.

When should I visit?

Anytime is a great time to visit!! And the sooner the better as far as we're concerned... we're here waiting on you!  We offer two weekend options: Sundays at 9:30 or 11:00am.

Where are you located?

We're located on Cleveland's east side in Willoughby Hills. We are easy to find and have great interstate access, less than a mile from the intersection of I-271 and 91 (SOM Center Road). For more details visit here.

What should I wear?

Really, anything you like. Suits and ties are rare, jeans and shorts are abundant. We suggest something comfortable... because that's what we'll be wearing.

Do you have any tips for first-timers?

Sure! On Sundays we have a friendly and efficient parking team.  They'll quickly get you to the closest space.  Once inside you'll find lots of smiling faces and helpful signage. Follow the signs (or your nose) to our Cafe for coffee and snacks.  If you need help finding your way to the coffee or restroom, ask one of the smiling faces with a badge for help.  We suggest arriving a few minutes early to enjoy the experience.

Do you have programs for Children and Teens?

Of course we do.  And they are awesome!  Visit here for more information on Children or Teens.

What are the weekend gatherings like?

It's hard to explain since there are so few churches out there like us... but we're going to try anyway.  Imagine finding a church that is enjoyable, one that you look forward to all week. We use many different techniques to communicate the message God has given us. You're likely to find us using music, drama, video, staging, props, and other creative techniques in every gathering.

How long are the Services?

We know that you have a lot going on in life and sitting through a long, boring, drawn-out church gathering is the last thing you want to do with your weekend.  Us too.  We go to great effort to be interesting and relevant.  But to answer your question: 60-70 minutes.

What can we expect from your Pastor?

That is a great question, perhaps best answered by other recent first-timers:

  • "I liked the message best. It was easy to follow and kept my interest while making me think and being applicable to my life." — Carrie
  • "You bring such enjoyment into the word of God" — Jon
  • "The Pastor used a personal story to deliver the message." — Jennifer
  • "The Pastor was extremely energetic. He knew what he was preaching about and he was able to tie it in to everyday situations and the Bible every time." — Jessica
  • "We can see just how passionate you are about the church and the people in it." — Lisa
