What is Celebrate Recovery?

CR is a Christ-centered recovery program, which originated in 1991 at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California.  This Christ-centered recovery program is intended to give hope and help to those with hurts, habits, and hang-ups such as:

Food Addictions/Eating Disorders, Sexual/Physical/Emotional Abuse, Chronic Pain, Codependent/Enabler, Divorce Recovery, Love and Relationship, Anger, Financial Recovery, Chemically Addicted, and Sexual Addiction

Confidentiality is key -- no photos, videos or sharing of conversations!

How does CR work?

CR is scripture-based and accelerates the healing process using the 12 Steps (Biblical Comparisons) and 8 Principles (Beatitudes) in the CR curriculum.

In addition, Step Study Groups are offered at various times during the week.

What can I expect?

A typical evening looks like this:

6:30pm - Large Group Meeting with Worship, Testimonies, Lessons, The Eight Principles, and The Twelve Steps. Everyone is invited to the worship gathering even if you choose not to participate in the Small Group meeting.

7:30pm – Gender and issue specific Small Group Meetings led by our Trained Small Group Leaders.

8:15pm – Friendly Grounds Café offers an open time of fellowship, coffee, and snacks.

Remember, CR meets every Monday evening all year long, even on Monday holidays.

Do you offer children and youth programming?

Yes, we offer the following:

Celebration Place welcomes children in K-5th grade

The Landing welcomes students in grades 6-12

Both of these programs offer a safe, healing place where children and teenagers can overcome their fears and issues by sharing with peers. These programs parallel the adult program and are customized to appropriately help students live freer, healthier, and more God-centered lives.

Do you offer childcare?

Yes, we offer childcare for children ages birth through age 4.

What small groups are offered?

We are always adding small groups.  Some of the current small groups meeting at 7:30pm include:

  • Welcome Home for combat and noncombat veterans led by the CR State Representative
  • Men's Chemical Dependency
  • Men's A-Z
  • Men's Sexual Addictions
  • Women's Chemical Dependency
  • Women's A-Z
  • Women's Food Issues
