"When 1+1=1" Pre-Marriage Class is for anyone who is engaged or in a serious relationship who would like to have a marriage the way God intended. This Pre-Marriage class is free and is offered twice a year on Sunday mornings.

Married Couple's Retreat

Like all living things, a marriage relationship requires nourishment to grow. Couples need time to be alone to share concerns, hopes, promises, ideas and dreams. Building a successful marriage requires taking time to learn and use techniques for growing a strong relationship. Yet in this hectic over-scheduled world it is difficult for couples to schedule the time for important relationship-building where sharing and open discussions are possible.

Come join the church family and especially those invited from the community who are participating in VBS for an evening of fun, fellowship and laughter!

The whole church family is invited to this retreat at Beulah Beach. You have the option of camping, staying in a cabin or the lodge. There are a host of activities such as rock climbing wall, canoeing, paddle boats, jet skis, swimming in Lake Erie or the pool, a children's carnival, hay rides, soccer, bonfires, etc. It is a relaxed time to recharge while strengthening existing friendships or building new ones.

Co-op members seek to pool their talents and resources in a collective effort to broaden the scope of the home based education. It is the expressed desire of the partnership to honor God, exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and expound the principles and precepts of the Bible through the partnership and process of home educating children.

Just As I Am is a ministry dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus Christ to individuals with special needs and their families. All ages are welcome and the room is wheelchair accessible. Our belief is that all people are created in God's image. Our goal is that each student will grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Our hope is to introduce Jesus through the sharing of everyday experiences, prayer, music, crafts, and teaching of God's Word.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. You don't have to go through the grieving process alone.

GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You'll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

Mary Madalene narrates the story of four women's lives that have been changed after coming into contact with a man named Jesus. Mary traces the lives of a woman caught in a scandal of adultery, another rejected and ignored because of her promiscuity, a third shunned because of a shameful condition, and a widow cast out from society, mourning the loss of her only son. An ugly thread of shame, sorrow, and hopelessness painfully weaves its way through the lives of these women. However, watch this film together as a family and be inspired, as Jesus Christ reveals His saving grace to these women and powerfully releases them from their shame

Steppin' Out is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery support and spiritual growth ministry that provides a safe environment where we can share our experience, strength and hope in Christ, that we may solve our common problems of addictions, and the various types of relational dependencies.

We embrace the 12-step program of recovery, recognizing and uplifting the underlying Biblical principles they manifest. The only requirements for participation are a desire for freedom from our dependent behaviors and an open heart to the message of wholeness made available through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

CMA Fast Lane

If you are a Sport Bike Rider, then consider yourself welcome to be part of this new Christian Motorcyclist Association FastLane ministry. FastLane is an evangelistic outreach to the sport bike, dual sport and ATV bike community.

Recreational Activities

Family Life Ministries periodically offers recreational classes just for families. We always welcome additional instructors or people willing to coordinate recreational activities!

Did you know the WHFC building has an exercise room that has different times set aside for families to use? For more information, on how to gain access to this room call the church office.

Special Events

For one time or annual events for families in the Cleveland area we will sometimes gather a group together and buy discounted tickets. If you are interested in participating in or coordinating a particular event, please contact Pastor Jim.

Family Life Classes

If you desire a closer relationship with our Lord, a deeper understanding of His Word and how it applies to your family's life, then join us at an Adult Education Class that address family issues. Classes change quarterly and are offered on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Check out the Adult Christian Education brochure below for details.

Family Life Bible Studies are offered various days of the week throughout the year. Some Bible studies are offered at homes or at church various times of the day. Contact: the Director of Family Life Ministries if you would like to join an existing one or maybe even start a new one.
