Join Geoff Himes & Kathy Skledar as they set a goal of reading through the Bible in a year. As part of this effort, they will be teaching an Adult Discovery Group class entitled The Bible Project - Digging into God's Word 2010-11. This class will start September 12th, 2010 at 11 am. Everyone is encouraged to have the support of a small group within the larger WHFC church family by being part of a Sunday School class. If you choose to take another Sunday School class or are serving during this time, please consider yourself invited to set a like goal and read through the bible in a year. There will be periodic social get togethers for those who have set this goal whether or not they attend the class so please let Geoff or Kathy know if you have joined them in this goal of reading through the Bible in a year. |

Giving has changed a lot over the centuries. When the Bible was written, giving was in the form of the firstborn of your herds or the first fruits of all that your fields produced. Today, money is electronic – hence we are happy to provide those of you who are internet savvy an opportunity to do your giving online. Check out the new online giving options by clicking on the Giving link on the right side of the header on this and every WHFC website page. You can use your bank or credit union's secure website to easily set up reoccurring payments to WHFC: Give Online Using Your Bank . This is the most cost effective means of online giving to WHFC. You can also use PayPal (no account needed) to make a donation: Give Online Using PayPal. |
Why give to WHFC? One reason is giving allows God a chance to prove that He exists and wants to bless us:
|
Memorial & Honor Gifts honor special people, events, and occasions in our lives. Whether they celebrate a birthday, wedding anniversary, or the life of someone significant in our lives who is now deceased, these gifts are an outstanding way of supporting various ministries of Willoughby Hills Friends Church. Gifts made in memory of honor of someone have a significant impact on the church and its ministries. All gifts received will be used to further the mission of WHFC. WHFC will responsively contact the family or individual to share with them your thoughtfulness without mentioning the size of the gift. |
|
Check out the Memorial & Honor Gifts brochure for more information. In the near future, an envelope will be available to use. For those who would prefer to give a Memorial or Honor Gift online, you can Give Online Using Your Bank or Give Online Using PayPal.

"This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success." Joshua 1:8 NASB Here are several sites where you can read a daily devotion and/or sign up to have the devotion emailed to you daily:

Any donations should be placed in the grocery carts near the back entrance and Activity Center entrance. No opened or outdated items please. If you would prefer to give a monetary donation, make checks payable to "WHFC" and make a note that it is for the "Food Pantry".
[Top]WHFC and CCA can profit from your unwanted paper! In a joint effort with Cornerstone Christian Academy, we are making a concerted effort to recycle paper. This benefits the environment but also financially benefits WHFC and CCA both in the profit we realize from the paper recycled but also in the reduction in the amount we will pay to have garbage hauled away. This could be substantial!

How can you help? You can ensure that the paper discarded at church is put in one of the containers slated to go to the paper recycling dumpster. Additionally, you can bring paper from home and put it in the dumpster! The new dumpster is on the north exit drive of the church. You can drive around the building and put in your paper from home on your way out of the parking lot. No cardboard or phone books in the dumpster but please consider contributing any other paper (newspapers, magazines, catalogs and office paper) you discard! |
