The pressure is everywhere — staying healthy, new protocols, new patterns, sanitizing, missing get-togethers, uncertainty. If you’ve been feeling the pressure, you’re not alone! We are in this together, and we are children of a God that offers hope and comfort when times are tough. Isaiah 40:1-2 says:
“Comfort, comfort my people,
says your God.
Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,
and proclaim to her
that her hard service has been completed,
that her sin has been paid for,
that she has received from the Lord’s hand
double for all her sins.
We live in a broken world – sometimes we feel it, and sometimes we contribute to it. But Jesus broke into this world to offer healing, comfort, and joy by being WITH us. This Advent, join us in worshiping and encountering Emmanuel, “God with us.”
