People will forget what you said…

Recently several people shared with me that they were the grateful recipients of love in the form of a phone call or card from others in the church family. One even incredulously noted they got a whole pie as a thank you for what to them was just a small act of service. The recipients were all touched by the gestures and more importantly left feeling that someone cared about them. As the isolation with COVID-19 relentlessly continues, I find myself feeling burdened with the awareness that there is any number of our church family feeling that no one cares. I frequently ask the Lord to bring those to mind who He needs me to reach out to but it can seem like a drop in the bucket. In His graciousness, the Lord showed me by these reports of treasured and unexpected contact…including a surprise apple pie…that there is any number of you heeding his nudges to love on others. THANK YOU to each of you unsung heroes who have heeded these nudges and given your time to respond. May the Lord richly bless you in return!
