Third Wednesday of the month, 5:45 PM - 6:00 PM
Project Hope is the only homeless shelter in Lake County and houses up to 45 people on any given day. On the 3rd Wednesday of each month, we deliver a hot, prepared meal to Project Hope to be enjoyed by the adults and children at the Shelter.
We utilize Sign Up Genius to make scheduling the meal simple for every volunteer. Here's how it works: You provide your email address to our team leaders at We add your name to the distribution list and the week prior to our meal, you receive an email reminding you the meal date is approaching. You can see what others have already volunteered to bring and add your name to an item. It's your choice whether you choose to participate for that month. Plan on serving 45 people and you can select one of the items for the meal which includes main course, vegetable, bread, salad, fruit and dessert.
Food needs to be fully cooked and at serving temperature when you drop off your food item at the Church (Health Department regulations only allow Project Hope to keep food warm). You place your prepared food item in the Church Prep Kitchen marked for Project Hope by 6pm on the 3rd Wednesday. A volunteer picks up the food and delivers it to the site.
