When God Keeps It Simple
In one moment from Elisha’s life, a group of prophets faced a poisonous stew. Instead of panic or complexity, Elisha added flour and declared it safe. The problem was real, but the solution was simple.
We often assume we need something more, something complicated, or something new. But God frequently works through ordinary obedience and simple trust. Sometimes all that is missing is God’s presence in the situation.
Naaman and the Cost of Partial Obedience
Naaman was powerful, respected, and successful, but he carried a hidden sickness. His armor protected his image, but it also kept him trapped. Like Naaman, we all have areas we try to cover or control.
God cannot heal what we refuse to bring into the light. Naaman’s healing required vulnerability. He had to listen, humble himself, and obey an instruction that felt beneath him.

Naaman was told to wash in the Jordan River seven times. It was not impressive or convenient. But when he obeyed fully, healing followed.
Half obedience may feel safer, but it rarely leads to freedom. God invites us to trust Him with everything, not just the parts we are comfortable sharing.

Naaman’s journey toward healing began with a young servant girl who spoke up with courage. Sometimes the next generation sees what we ignore or hide. Their voices remind us that honesty and faith still matter.
Living Beyond Shame
God does not ask for perfection. He asks for surrender. When we lay down our defenses and trust Him completely, grace has room to work.
Faith is not about protecting an image. It is about receiving healing.
