Director Of Facilities Position Opening
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Facilities to oversee the management and maintenance of our facilities. This leadership role requires a strong background in facilities management, industrial maintenance, and project management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent supervisory skills and mechanical knowledge, with a focus on ensuring the efficient operation of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, and programmable logic controllers.
Responsibilities:
- Commit to doing whatever is necessary in biblical accordance to accomplish the mission and vision of Friends Church.
- Active participation in the planning, implementing, executing, and closing all Buzz Event Initiatives (All church events) at Friends Church.
- Be an active participant in creating opportunities that lead to eternal salvation.
- Commit to helping in the discipleship of believers at Friends Church to help the Family of God grow in their faith.
- Active participant in the shepherding of God’s flock according to 1 Peter Chapter 5.
Facility Operations Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and repairs of the buildings and grounds.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs inclusive of scheduled inspections.
- Develops and implements long and short-range goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the department(s); prepares and administers the department(s) budget.
- Ensure the proper operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and other systems.
- Review and process work orders and tasks every workday inclusive of creating the task, adjusting expectations with submitter, prioritizing, assigning, and communicating completion.
- Authorizes purchase orders for acquisition of assets, material and supplies; approves payment and administers various contracts within budgetary appropriations.
- Utilitize digital tools and systems to manage work orders, purchase orders, warranties, preventative maintenance, and resource schedules.
Facility Operations Execution:
- Provide project management and volunteer recruitment skills to help manage and maintain the property of Friends Church.
- Manage and supervise facilities staff and volunteers, including maintenance technicians and groundskeepers.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when necessary.
- Leverage craftsmanship skills to assist in the maintenance and development of the Friends Church campus and property.
- Coordinates schedules and special event operations for the purpose of ensuring required facilities preparation.
Vendor and Contract Management:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party vendors for services such as HVAC, elevator support, landscaping, waste management, security, etc.
- Ensure quality and compliance with service level agreements.
Strategic Planning and Space Utilization:
- Assist in long-term facility planning and capital improvement projects.
- Analyze and optimize space utilization to support the organization’s growth and needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field with strong leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in managing programmable logic controllers (PLC) and understanding schematics related to facility systems.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC systems, electrical work (including high voltage and low voltage), and industrial maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with project management principles to effectively oversee facility-related projects from inception to completion.
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting tasks.

Cleaning Team Position Opening
Friends Church is seeking a dedicated individual with a positive attitude to join our cleaning team! This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment in designated areas of both Friends Church and Cornerstone Christian Academy. During the school year, duties will follow both the CCA & Friends Church Building Cleaning Plan and assigned rooms from your Cleaning Coordinator. Summer responsibilities will be in accordance with a Summer Cleaning Plan provided by the Executive Director of Facilities. The position is Monday through Friday late afternoon and evenings.

- Able to bend, sit, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to walk the majority of the work shift and climb stairs as needed
- Able to handle large vacuum and cleaning equipment

- Must live on- and off-duty according to Friends Church Statement of Faith and Code of Staff Conduct contained in the Friends Employee Handbook
