SUNDAYS THIS SUMMER

Join us on Sundays this Summer as we worship and learn more about what it means to follow Jesus. We are excited for these upcoming sermon series and events. We hope you and your family will join us!

Summer Road Trip: Following God Through Twists, Turns, and Detours

Summer is a season of movement—packed bags, open highways, unexpected detours, and moments you didn’t plan for but won’t forget. And in many ways, that’s exactly how faith works.

Summer Road Trip is a journey through the life of Jacob—a man whose walk with God was anything but direct. His story is filled with wrong turns, long stretches of uncertainty, surprising encounters with God, and moments where obedience was forged not in comfort, but on the move.

This series reminds us that discipleship isn’t discovered in a classroom or mastered in theory—it’s formed on the road. God shapes us as we step out, make mistakes, face consequences, and keep going anyway. Along the way, we begin to discover not only who God is, but who we are becoming.

If you’ve ever felt like your life isn’t going according to plan—or wondered if God is still at work in the detours—this series is for you.

Because you don’t discover who you are until you hit the road with God.

June 21: Father’s Day

Join us at Friends Church as we honor fatherhood, embrace God’s design for men, and celebrate the calling we’ve been given.

June 28th: Pinewood Derby

This summer, we’re doing more than hosting a race — we’re creating a moment.

The Father & Kids Pinewood Derby isn’t ultimately about speed, trophies, or perfectly engineered cars. It’s about dads and father-figures getting shoulder-to-shoulder with their kids. It’s about sawdust in the garage, paint on the table, laughter in the driveway, and conversations that wouldn’t happen any other way.

JULY 12th: Congregational Meeting

Every July, our members gather for our Annual Congregational Meeting to celebrate what God did over the last budget year at Friends Church, Reconcile what we wanted to do and actually did (budget, plans, etc.), and share and approve our direction for the next year.

It is meant to be a time of fellowship, celebration, and prayer—a time and place where we come together and celebrate how God built His church.

Though only members may vote, we encourage all who consider Friends Church their home church to attend.
